Many an hour have I spent chasing DX on the amateur radio bands, but I also have another facet of the hobby that I enjoy very much and that is special events. Special events range anywhere from a single operator who provides a special QSL card to a complete organization spending time and energy in providing the special event for us radio ops. I myself enjoy working these stations and collecting these certificates, but I also work these stations to say thanks to them for putting the event on in the first place.
